No New Posts Out Of Character banter

Really; this board is for anything and everything, of course, except IC. Well, yes, of course, you can talk about what happened in IC, but of course be careful not to transfer IC conflict out from there. Swearing is permitted, however please don't take it overboard.

No New Posts Dissertations

When IC boards have been too inactive or are well and truely finished, they should go here. These boards are locked, you can't reply to them. They're pretty much simply for reference and to go through when you want to read old posts o-o

No New Posts Circe Plains

The flat expanse of scruffy grasses encompasses the borders, and is where almost all wolves are found unless they manage to sneak past members of the cadre. Rocks, boulders, and even the odd fallen tree litter parts of the field and can be constructed into makeshift dens if one so pleases. All must pass through this area to have access to the packlands, so generally acceptance is taken place here.

No New Posts Mount Hyperion

Mt. Hyperion looms over the territory, forbiddingly tall and steep. Snow caps the apex, only adding to the hazard. To scale the uppermost peaks is a death wish, although most who attempt it actually intend to take their lives. Some see the rugged terrain surrounding the central peak as a way to escape the rush of life for a while, to forget about strife and responsibilities.

No New Posts Icelos River

Lazily flowing through the center of the terra firma is Icelos River. Fish exist in abundance here, especially in spring, when trout and salmon thickly cover the breadth of the river. One must take caution in practicing their fishing skills here, however, as bears often wander past the more rapidly flowing portions in search of their own quarry. Many a wolf has been brutally slain by an angry mother bear who deems the creature too close to her cubs.

No New Posts Ophion Falls

Ophion Falls plummet earthward near the mountain, fed by the Icelos River. The falls cast mist across the regions, obscuring them from view. The area serves as a relaxing or romantic retreat to packwolves, who may find the rushing water a calming setting in which to meditate. Near the top few dare to tread, for fear of losing their footing on the damp, mossy rocks and plunging into the shallow lake below. Here as well is a favorite place for grizzlies to perch and snatch leaping salmon in midair. Behind the waterfall, concealed from view, is a den cut into the rock that is kept carefully secret. Alphas may use this orifice to hold a private counsel, store food and pelts, or simply to be alone.

No New Posts Panteleimon Meadow

This desolate field is blanketed in snow during the winter. Brisk winds sweep through the area, chilling wolves to the bone unless they have an adequately thick winter coat. A band of trees surrounds the area, and the hollow ones hold comfort for those who are freezing. But in other seasons, it can be a perfect place for hunting larger game. In the spring, when the ice has thawed, mothers often come here to bear and raise their pups.

No New Posts Maur Caves

Dark, damp passages wind beneath the earth, twisting and turning haphazardly. The caverns are eerily cool, and sometimes the passing air currents produce a sound not unlike soft breathing. Because of this, many who have ventured in believe it harbors an unspeakable beast or specter. A wolf who summons enough courage to enter through the narrow aperture would find themselves in complete blackness in moments. Beings trapped in the darkness generally starve or go mad, and die. Dare you risk entering?

No New Posts Orthros Tree

A massive tree stands over the terra firma like a guardian, limbs and thick foliage spreading far. The tree offers shade in the summer, as well as houses tree-dwelling prey like squirrels and birds. Branches splay randomly from the trunk nearly to the ground. If one felt the whim, or desired a particularly chubby squirrel perched just overhead, he or she could leap from one limb to another to ascend the trunk. Pup-sitting occurs here, usually, so that the omega or other lucky individual who watches over the young ones during a hunt can rest in the shade whilst the pups occupy themselves in tussling for sport or chasing windborne leaves.

This area is quite often visited; it has become almost a meeting place for wolves. The grass here is rather lush at times of peak rain. However, it's rather sparse when the rains fail. However, despite it's recovering from a drought, it's rather nice. There are a few trees scattered here and there, which have rather thick leaves that are great for shade when it's hot.
